For my dynamic typography class at SCAD, I animated an audio clip from The Office (Season 5, Episode 14), where Michael Scott leads his employees through a CPR course. The scene’s awkward humor, off-key singing, and uncooperative CPR dummies presented a perfect opportunity to explore subtle, understated motion design.
To match the dry tone, I kept the typography and motion simple, resisting overcomplication so the humor speaks for itself. I also experimented with a square frame instead of the traditional 16:9, testing new dimensions to present the scene in a fresh way.
