ART DIRECTION • GRAPHIC DESIGN
For my storyboarding class at SCAD, I was tasked with creating style frames of two network IDs for Comedy Central. I aimed to ensure that both IDs were distinct from one another, allowing me to explore the brand’s versatility. For the first set (below), I drew inspiration from stand-up comedy nights and envisioned the Comedy Central logo as a flickering neon sign. The frames transition smoothly, with the curtains parting and the camera zooming in to reveal the glowing neon sign.

For the second set of frames, I wanted to create a completely different aesthetic from the first ID. I opted for a minimalist approach, incorporating simple vector elements while adhering to the brand’s classic yellow and black color palette. I decided to highlight the network’s most iconic shows, starting with South Park, followed by Tosh.0 and Chappelle's Show. The accompanying vector elements, including arrows and other shapes, burst out from the center of the frame, creating an explosive visual of dynamic media. The transitions are seamless, with the large circle at the center expanding into each new frame.
